Meet Winner
The mastermind behind BuddyGuard’s creation
Motivated by the need to ensure proper care for Winner while we traveled, in 2020, we searched for alternatives to pet hotels. A quick look showed us that such a service did not yet exist in Bulgaria.
Winner was adamant that this had to change. He demanded we find him a sitter who would walk him and spoil him with treats... So, following our boss’s orders, we said, “Why not?”
We embraced his idea, and thus, in the summer of 2020, BuddyGuard was founded in Sofia, becoming the first professional pet-sitting company in Bulgaria!
The BuddyGuard Platform
Over the years, we’ve gained experience caring for more than 1,500 pets and their owners! We’ve enjoyed countless wet noses, wagging tails, and purring faces. To help even more people, we decided to create a platform enabling pet owners across the country to access the services of trained and caring sitters.
Our sitters are people who choose to spend their free time in the company of the creatures they love most — animals!

This is how Kristina Vodenicharova and Kostadin Mihaylov began developing BuddyGuard together.
